Do you know why Frankie has some string around her wrist?

Sri Lanka is a very beautiful island. Frankie has been there four times. The first time she had a fantastic holiday with her children.

The second time was six month after the tsunami. She went to build houses because people were still living in tents. She helped to build temporary houses. She liked hammering nails.

She came back to Abu Dhabi and wanted to raise money to build more houses. She jumped out of an aeroplane with HCT teachers and students. On her third trip time she took enough money to build twenty- seven temporary houses.

Last summer she went to help build permanent houses. The people were very happy to finally get a good house. They had a special ceremony. The holy man put the string on Frankie's wrist. He said that it would bring luck to the new home.
